WHAT’S “AMI”?
 AMI is the Italian MTB Association acknowledged by the Italian Cycle Council. By its own formation body, the National school of MTB guide, on the whole National territory, AMI supplies services to the cyclers, such as arranging cycle excursions, events connected to the world of MTB, sessions of education and protection of the MTB guides and instructors.
The association was established in 1997 and after 11 years of activity, it has reached important  institutional acknowledgements. Since 2007 it is the official educational organ for UISP concerning the MTB technical figures, and in 2007, an exclusive agreement was signed with AMSI, the Italian Association of Ski Instructors. AMSI gathers the majority of the Italian Ski Teachers who have foreseen into the quality of educational level offered by AMI a new professional opening during the summer season.
THE BIG ADVANTAGE OF JOINING AMI
 People passionately fond of MTB who join AMI, automatically become member of UISP;  therefore, they enjoy double advantages and opportunities, as insurance coverage, special prices, the participation to courses, events, holidays, etc. Yearly, AMI offers many initiatives addressed to all people fond of MTB who wish to have fun and/or improve their culture about the subjects linked to the bicycle: courses and stages, cartography – GPS driving, first aid, trial technics, physiology, nourishment, woman-bike and special programs for children.
Every person fond of MTB can deepen the study of all the topics he/she is most interested in. Furthermore, AMI promotes meetings and parties, as for instance, the Funky Day, where you can find thousands of cyclers gathered in a real sport event!
PROTECTION AND PROMOTION
 AMI protects and promotes the activity of the guides and the instructors. Referring to its portal and by attending exhibitions and events, all AMI trained people have the possibility to promote and to advertise cycle excursions and to approach new cyclers. The AMI National Centres are its “buttonholes”; they are located in several Italian regions and group many instructors and guides.
Thanks to those figures, together with a doctor, a mechanician and a athletic preparer, they enjoy a good authority and independence in arranging and managing most of the events promoted by AMI.
PROMOTION AND ORGANIZATION OF MOUNTAIN BIKE EXCURSIONS WITH GUIDE ON THE NATIONAL TERRITORY.
AMI arranges courses and stages for the education of the Mountain Bike guides and teachers.
Furthermore, AMI offers several excursions with guide to all people found of Mountain Bike, Italian and foreign tourists.
